The 2007 Altima Hybrid features a refined version of Nissan's QR25 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine match with an advanced electric drive motor/generator. Together they give the Altima Hybrid a net power rating of 198 horsepower (148 kW). With its standard electronically controlled CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), the Altima Hybrid achieves an estimated EPA fuel economy of 42 mpg City and 36 mpg Highway and is rated as an Advanced Technology-Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV).

The Altima Hybrid also offers an impressive list of available convenience features, including Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, leather-appointed seating, Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System, RearView™ Monitor, satellite radio, Nissan's Advanced Navigation System with real-time Energy Flow Display and a dual-zone automatic temperature control that includes an Altima Hybrid-specific electrically powered A/C that continues to provide cooling when the gasoline engine is stopped.

Clean air. Clear conscience.

Introducing the 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid, the most advanced Altima ever. It's what happens when the passionate engineers at Nissan decide to build a benchmark sedan that's as responsive as it is responsible. And with forward-thinking features like standard Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, Electronically controlled Continuously Variable Transmission (eCVT), available touch-screen navigation system with voice recognition and RearView Monitor, and even a Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, it's still every bit a Nissan. 42 MPG
With Altima Hybrid's outstanding 42 MPG1 efficiency and a range of over 700 miles of city driving per tank, you get more clean-burning, fuel-sipping performance per fill-up.

How it works
Altima Hybrid's energy drive shares work duties between an ultra-clean gasoline-powered 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and emissions-free electric motor. To maximize fuel economy and minimize environmental impact, the Altima automatically shuts the gasoline engine down when it isn't needed, such as at stoplights, low speeds, or when coasting. When extra power is needed, the gasoline engine starts instantly and unobtrusively. The Altima Hybrid even stops as smart as it goes, capturing braking momentum and converting it to electrical energy to recharge the battery.

Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV)
Altima Hybrid surpasses Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) standards, plus meets Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) requirements, including near-zero evaporative emissions and a 15-year/150,000-mile warranty on emission-control equipment. With its advanced hybrid drivetrain, the Altima Hybrid is also classified as an ultra-clean, AT-PZEV vehicle.

GO WITH THE FLOW
GO WITH THE FLOW
Watch the clean energy flow in real-time. Thanks to Altima's available DVD navigation system, you can watch the hybrid system direct the flow of energy between the engine, motor generator and battery. A quick peek at the speedometer's digital display also lets you know when you're running on pure electric power.
